At Refrescos del Atlántico, we've been doing what we do best since 1930: creating quality beverages with the commitment of a family business focused on the future.
Our history
It all began in 1930, when Perfecto González, a visionary and entrepreneur, founded one of the first soda factories in Galicia in Marín (Pontevedra). Since then, generation after generation, his family has continued the legacy. Today, with the fourth generation at the helm, we continue to grow with the same curiosity, commitment, and enthusiasm that fueled our beginnings.

Innovation is one of the pillars of our evolution. We’ve transformed our plants to be more agile, efficient, and sustainable. Today, more than 80% of our processes are automated and digitized, allowing us to improve productivity, optimize resources, and reduce energy consumption per liter produced by 30%. We are also making progress in sustainability through the use of recycled packaging and a commitment to more responsible production.
We currently have three production centers in Marín (Pontevedra), Valdunciel (Salamanca), and Folgoso de la Ribera (León), from which we bottle over 600 product references and exceed 500 million liters annually. With over 150 employees, we remain true to our roots while looking to the future with determination.

We specialize in the development and manufacturing of soft drinks and other beverages. We produce our own brands and also manufacture for third parties, creating tailor-made solutions that adapt to the needs of each client and project.
Our business model is flexible and customer-centered, which has made us a benchmark both in the national and international markets. We also have our own transport agency, allowing us to offer a comprehensive service: from product conception to final delivery. Today, more than 80% of our processes are automated, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability at every stage.

Certifications
Refrescos del Atlántico - FSSC 22000
A comprehensive certification scheme for food safety management systems, based on existing ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-1:2009 standards and technical specifications for prerequisite programs in the relevant sector (food production, packaging manufacturing for the food industry, or
food transport and storage). Additionally, there are a series of additional requirements established in the FSSC scheme related to service specifications, personnel supervision, input material management, food defense, fraud prevention, allergen management, labeling, and environmental control. Aguas San Joaquín - IFS FOOD
The IFS Food Standard reviews products and production processes to assess a food producer’s ability to manufacture safe and high-quality products, in accordance with legal requirements and customer specifications. It helps companies meet the growing market demand for transparency and traceability, contributes to improving product integrity, and increases efficiency. Qualified IFS auditors working for accredited independent certification bodies are the ones who carry out the audits. The IFS Standards are subject to evaluation by governmental or private organizations.

Its methodology is based on international standards such as the United Nations Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the ISO 26000 standard.
Receiving an EcoVadis medal (bronze, silver, gold, or platinum) recognizes our commitment to responsible and sustainable practices throughout the entire value chain.

Post-Production Temporary Storage
We keep the product in perfect conditions until distribution. Our products, our priority.

We have our own transportation agency to deliver the product to its destination, and we also

PET Bottles
100% safe PET, 100% recyclable, 100% perfect.
Polyethylene terephthalate (or PET) is a safe, non-toxic, flexible, and strong material. It is perfect
for bottling carbonated drinks, as it prevents CO2 leaks and protects the beverage from external
moisture.
Glass
Long live glass.
We use recycled glass, which can be reused indefinitely. Additionally, it does not require
additives or coatings to protect beverages and preserves all their flavor and properties.
Cardboard
Versatile and enriched.
We produce cardboard in various sizes and coat it with an aluminum layer to protect the
beverage from oxygen and light, preserving its properties without the need for refrigeration.
Cans
Practical and safe.
100% recyclable, the can withstands (stacking) and protects the beverage from any external
agent, preserving vitamins and nutritional values without the need for preservatives.
